When the humans let you out, run like the wind towards the chickens. It also helps to take a stick with you, just so they know you mean business.

Get to know them. they all have names. it builds a false sense of security for them.
Here is my rival, the Rooster! He thinks he's in charge of the chickens. Doesn't he know that's my job! We are having a stare-off! Neither of us is willing to back down.... He's threatening to use his talons on me! Then I threatened to use my 'dale chompers and have him for supper!
If you get tired, it's okay to lay down while keeping an eye them. Notice mr. rooster walked away! I did have to eventually leave my post and go inside as grandmama said my constant staring and made the chicks nervous! I'm just keeping them in line and perhaps waiting for one to make a break for it!
