Railroad Park

Welcome to Railroad Park! We've had the dreariest winter ever, but a couple of weeks ago we had a gorgeous 75 degree Saturday. Mama and I headed out to Railroad Park. It's a lovely park in the middle of downtown Birmingham, and it's awesome!
You'll notice I look as though I'm wearing furry pantaloons. That's just because I 'd taken a dip in the water. And by dip I mean, a quick walk as someone was tugging on my leash saying, "janie! get out of that water!" I won't mention any names, but it was certainly rude! I didn't care that it was disgusting brown water from our lack of rain and, besides that, mud makes my fur even prettier!
One of the best parts is meeting other pups!

Actually, the best part was the picnic lunch mama and I had! There are these kitchens on wheels and the nice man inside gives you hot dogs and ice cream! Yes, yummy, delicious, I'm too adorable not to share with Hot Dogs! Mama had a lemon sorbet, which was, quite frankly, disgusting! yuck!! I turned my keen 'dale nose up and wouldn't even come close to it!

I am quite popular with the children at the park. They love to ask if they can pet me, which is so polite. I, of course, oblige as I love attention! (and the occasionally dropped Dorito!) I drink water from a water bottle out of mama's hand and several children thought this was just hilarious! They seemed to think I was some sort of walking petting zoo/trick pony!

And, as always, you know who has to make sure she's included in my blog post!
She's a sweet mama.... I guess it's ok!
Love y'all!
