oh, oliver!

Well, we have had an eventful weekend to say the least. We are so thankful for all of your well wishes! Mama said that when she got to the shelter to pick-up Ollie boy that he was such a mess... he smelled to the high heavens and his fur was matted around his collar. He did really good riding in the car. He had to go to the vet for shots, poor thing, then they stopped by the pet store, without moi, and then finally came home!
Once Ollie was cleaned up, we decided to introduce him the neighborhood.
Mama is in graduate school, so we rode with her to buy a book. See... I am already teaching him to be a scholarly 'dale. I am trying to get my snoot out the window into the cold aire...... Oliver is being a good boy and just politely resting his head.....
Ollie sure is a fluffy boy, and mama says he's really skinny under all that fur. We can fix that! Some yummy, healthy food should fix him right up!
Our condo has a lovely (said with sarcasm per my mama) mirrored wall. Oliver just stared and stared... Hey! There are four of us here!
Here we are on our first walkie around the park and our neighborhood. We did give mama quite a workout, and Oliver likes to leave his mark on about a million things, but we had a good time. I think because there were two of us, a ton more people than usual were asking mama what kind of dogs we are. Snoodles??no, airedales.... goldendoodles??no, airedales..... .labradoodles?? no, airedales..what kind of poodles are those? oh, they are airdale terriers..... are they twins? seriously, mama said that one took the cake.....twins, really... littermates, maybe? Mama says she always feels like the official airedale information committee, which I know she secretly loves.. she goes on and on about us!!

After a long walk today, a trip to the doggy park, and playing inside, we were tired puppies!

We are slowly getting used to each other and sharing.... mainly mama's attention. I do have to remind him that she is MY mama. Mama tells me that he doesn't have a family, so we have to be his family and give him all the love we can... ok, I remember. Mama adopted me last April, so I know how he feels. I let mama love on him lots!!

It's Hollie.... I am so new at having a boy 'dale! Any suggestions for hiking the leg in the house? Other than that he's been a sweetheart. He and Janie are adjusting so well, thank heavens. I was so worried we wouldn't be able to foster him, but so far, so good. Ask me again tomorrow!
Thanks!!! Love yall! Hollie, Janie, and Oliver
