I'm still at my grandmama's, but I wanted to share a little bit about my mama's day. I don't know how she manged to get organized and everything together without me to help, but she did! She drove to Mississippi today to pick-up three Airedales for
Airedale Rescue Group. She says it's a pretty sad story. Suffice it to say that these guys will no longer have to worry about going without food, human contact, or be used only for breeding! They have already been adopted and will live in Georgia. Mama just helped them get a little closer to their forever homes!

They are Lady, who is the mama; George, who is 9 months old and has a poodle tail; and Baby, who never got a name and is about 10 weeks old. They are all amazingly sweet dogs. They are super timid b/c noone ever loved them or played with them or gave them scritches under their beards. Mama said that they loved the attention and will be awesome 'dales with a little love and socialization.

She picked them up in MS and then drove them a little north of Birmingham, AL, (where we live) to stay overnight at a former 'dale breeder's house, Mr. John. Tomorrow they will go to their new families. Mr. John's house sounds like Airedale Heaven! Mama said it was so wonderful to see the 3 'dales running and playing and smiling. Mr. John has a 14 year old 'dale named Dosee. Guess what! She is a champion airedale with tons of awards and ribbons. I think she is a beautiful girl! They had the prettiest stained-glass window in their stairway. You guessed it... it was a stained-glass airedale!

sweet baby boy

I have a feeling mama contemplated puppy-napping Baby! He slept in her lap the whole time and gave her puppy kisses! It was hard to get pictures on Lady and George b/c they are soooo timid.
I am so happy these guys will have loving homes now and will have wonderful lives!
On a personal note, I have been overseeing the tilling of the garden. I let my uncle Jonathan help a little! Mama is coming to get me this week. I hear the Easter Bunny is coming, too!
Love, Janie
